History & Actuality
Shanghai Cable Works is a main inaugurator of Chinese cable industry established in 1945, which has become a large comprehensive corporation of producing cable. She produced the first extra-high voltage power cable with high technology in China, the first long submarine cable, the first nuclear station cable and the first Copper-cored aluminum stranded wire, etc. She had made great contribution to the development of Chinese power cable manufacturing industry. In 2004, Shanghai cable works transformed into Shanghai Cable Works CO., LTD, at the same time, Shanghai Cable Works introduced foreign capital to establish independent joint venture with international well-known Fujikura which is the largest power cable manufacturing enterprise group in Japan to produce high voltage cable and electric equipment cable.
Under the leadership of Shanghai Electric (Group) Corporation, Shanghai cable works Co,. LTD builds herself into an international corporation with scientific managerial system of modern corporations and advanced manufacture technology.

The manufacturing is located at 1076 Jungong Road in Shanghai, She faces the Huangpu River on the east, on her west is the middle ring road, so it is convenient for land and water transportation, also she is near Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute which is the power cable and electric wire examination center of China, so we can observe the up to date and abundant technique information
The corporation covers an area of 410,000 square meter including 220,000 square meter building area.
