1. Wobbe-Index Analyser RHADOX
suitable for installation in Ex-Zone 2; ATEX II 3 G EEx nZ II B+H2 T4
Analyzer for the determination of the Wobbe-Index and the stoichiometric
air demand for complete combustion of fuel gases (LPG/Syngas-mixtures);
The instrument offers two isolated outputs 4...20 mA (ranges suggested) :
Range Unit
Wobbe-Index Wu
Air Demand (CARI)
Note : Within limits to be agreed upon, the measuring ranges
can be adjusted later, should the gas specifications be changed.
Operating Principle : Mixing of the fuel gas with clean combustion
air in a defined mixing ratio; Catalytic oxidation of the gas; determination
of the residual Oxygen after combustion/oxidation; determination of the
calorific properties via the established calibration routine;
Calibration System :
Manually started and automatically executed procedure is standard
(with HIGH and LOW calibration gas) ;
Response time : 3.…7 seconds } depending upon
T90-time : 10...18 sec (analyser only) } gas viscosity
Installation in a three-partition compartment
Part A : IP 55 Housing for electronic analyser components;
Dimensions of part A ca. 400*650*400 mm
Ex-protection via a Zone 2 certified purge unit
Part B : IP 55 Housing with all pneumatic elements for mixing of the
gas with air; for controlling the gas flow and the application
of calibration gases; control of pressure and flow;
Dimensions : w*h*d ca. 400*650*400 mm
The By-pass gas and the gas from the double-block-and-bleed
venting of the valves are flammable gas mixtures must be led
into a safe vent line, free from any back-pressure;
this outlet line is protected by a flame suitable barrier.
All parts in this compartment are either non-electric or have a suitable
Ex-protection/certificate.
Part C : IP55 housing, containing the catalytic reactor and the Oxygen sensor
for the measurement of the Air Demand and the Wobbe-Index.
This compartment contains all components with higher
temperature, but at ambient pressure only ;
Ex-Protection : continuous purge [pz]; [EN 60079-15:2003 #23];
